Advantages: None
Disadvantages: Poor company
I am a student and this company offered me the best deal so I went for it. At £1000 for a year in Leeds it wasnt chep, and they were only insuring a 1.0P reg Citroen AX. Hardly a Golf GTI is it? So last week, after comming back from a holiday in Majorca (read my review on JMC) I left my car parked by the roadside just down the road from the University of Leeds in central leeds. Now there are 100's of cars parked down this road (Leicester Place) every day and I thought my car would be safe. Imagine my suprise when I got back to my car at 4:00pm and it was a wreck! For a start a suitcase full of £1000 pounds worth of holiday clothes and cameras etc. The back window had been smashed, the parcel shelf removed, the boot panal wrecked along with the boot catch. The bumper wripped off, back lights smashed... I could go on. Needless to say I found out eventually that it would cost over £1900 to fix the car. After the accident I immediatly rang the police to report it, and then this fantastic insurance company. As it was 4:30pm now I was put through to a switchboard that didnt know my details. They picked up the car immediatly. Now this is the only good servce I have got off Endsleigh Insurance, this is prolly because it wasnt them. The next day I rang up Endsleigh Insurance to ask them what was going to happen about my car, they said it should be picked up by a crash repair company (of their choice of course) soon. 2 days later it eventualy was! My insurance states that in the event of damage to the car and repairs beeing carried out I should get a courtsy car. Still didnt have one. After another 2 days the crash repair company had valued the car. Endsleigh Insurance didnt get the information for another 2days. Now it is day 8 and Endsleigh Insurance want to send an engineer of their own to the garage to assess the damage to see whether its repariable or not. So after over a week I still dont have a car even though I have paid fo
r a courtasy car in the even of an accident. The customer service is appauling, the staff know nothing about what is going on, even though they are poilte they are very patronising. I will let you know what happens Thanks for reading Alex PS i hope this stops ppl going with this company. I have just had a phone call off this company. Its 3pm 8 days after the incident and they finally tell me that they cannot proceed with the claim unless I send a copy of my driving licence to them. I was told previously that only the licence number was needed. The lady on the phone called me a liar, saying that no-body who worked there would ever say this to me. After aruing with her for a while she decided to process the claim without my licence, thank god. Well at least Laura was kind when she realised that I was obviously getting upset. So now I just have to wait for the engineer to get the whole thing sorted!
