I have held car insurance through Endsleigh since I was a student, 20 years ago.
Ok, I know they were never the cheapest out there, but there was never that much in it & the ease of renewal whilst working full time etc seemed to make up for the couple of quid extra.
This year my renewal wanders around and being on holiday from work, I decide to do a bit of online investigation into other companies.
I have over 12 years NCB and have never had any driving convictions; imagine my surprise when I managed to get a quote that replicated my current insurance for over £200 cheaper than Endleigh quoted me.
Give them their due, Endsleigh tried, but the nearest they could get was still £120 more than Diamond
A 20 year relationship over in 30 minutes......need to go check out the buildings & contents insurance now.

An Insurance company from hell!!!!!!. I registered my vehicle with Endsleigh in Feb, they seemed to have a good deal. Made the payment and then found out that actually my current car insurance does not run out until may. Called them back two days later to request for a refund as its within the 14 days mark and to my horror! it took them not one or two weeks to cancel it, but over a month. I have called the center up numerous times, day and evenings, running up my phone bill, but then to prolong the matter they want proof of my current insurance. I have sent it to them and posted registered,as they are in the habit of stating they did not receive this or that. I am waiting for their next action, because I intend to report them to WACTHDOG. They`re

Although I'm no longer a student, I still live in a shared house and Endsleigh insurance seems to be the only company (at least the only one I could find) which caters for this. The policy has a number of useful features--in particular it covers burglaries due to one of your housemates leaving the front door wide open. Endsleigh are ...

Went to Endsleigh to insure my Ford Focus and got a good quote of £250 for the year. After 3 months I changed my car to a Renault Clio diesel. The Clio was 2 groups lower than the Focus but Endsleigh initially said that I would have to pay £750 for teh rest of teh year. I argued with the call centre robot who was obtusive and unhealpful ...

I'm the first to write a review on Endsleigh Insurance, so here goes. My Experience ************* I joined Endsleigh because they were being promoted by universities as being good for students, and they undercut my last policy by £50 so I decided to change it. By this time I already had 1 years no claims bonus. I ...

I have been with about 4 or 5 car insurance firms over the years and i can say Endsleigh was the worst ever to date. The thing that made it so awful was the customer service. The price was great, the best, thats why i went with them, but maybe thats where the lack of cash for them lets their other services down. Customer services is an ...

In my first year of Uni I did as most freshers do and insured my meagre belongings with Endsleigh. I believe Endsleigh was set up by the NUS so you think they’d be the best deal around. Right? Well usually no. Certainly if you live in halls it’s fine and not too pricey, the problems start when you live out. Having lived in a high ...

I hate endsleigh and will never insure with them as long as I live for many reasons of which there are probably too many to write in this opinion without my falling asleep or working myself into a rage due to endsleighs incompetence all round. Where shall I begin.... For starters, I can only talk for one branch, namely the one ...

I am a student and this company offered me the best deal so I went for it. At £1000 for a year in Leeds it wasnt chep, and they were only insuring a 1.0P reg Citroen AX. Hardly a Golf GTI is it? So last week, after comming back from a holiday in Majorca (read my review on JMC) I left my car parked by the roadside just down the road from ...

Yes i'm a student, and yes Endsleigh is supposed to be one of the best insurers for students, but after recently organising my insurance I found them to be one of the most pushy, annoying and truth bending companies i've found! Realising that my insurance was due I rang around the companies to get the best quote leaving Endsleigh till last ...

I first wrote this opinion last april when I took out an insurance policy with Endsleigh. Below is my original opinion, and at the end is my update..... I got my renewal notice from my previous insurer a few months back and it had rocketed to £643 from about £460 I couldn't understand why as I had a years no claims bonus and ...

I have been with Endsleigh on and off for my car insurance over the years since i have been a student. Endsleigh are good in some aspects: as long as you know exactly what you want they can help you but if you do not that is where the trouble starts. One hand doesnt know what the other one is doing at times. I am not with ...

Admittedly, Endsleigh was amongst the cheapest when I looked for my first insurance about 15 months ago. Still - what I actually paid was kinda over the top. I was 28 then, was driving motorbikes and cars for about 13 years - but that didn't count, since I only moved to the U.K. about 2½ years ago and exchanged my D/L for a british one. And ...

Trying to get insured at the tender age of 18 is not a pleasant task; it is rather mind shattering, bank busting drudgery. On average the quotes I was receiving for my 17-year-old polo were about £1800 per annum. Admittedly I live in London, but nevertheless, that is highly excessive if you ask me. So I held out little hope when I found ...

Endsleigh claim to be the best student insurers and so far they have been correct. I am 22, drive a G reg sierra and live in Liverpool so as far as car insurance goes I get it right in the wallet. However repeatedly Endsleigh have been the best. Its not just the cheapest but the staff are always trying to get the best deals for you and will follow ...

I phoned up to get a quote for motor insurance. I'm a 25-year-old mature student and Endsleigh offer a discount for students (they are part owned by the NUS). I had a very helpful lady run through my details and after a few minutes on the phone she arrived at a quote of £294 including uninsured loss recovery. This was 10% more expensive ...

Paying hundreds of pounds for car insurance is always going to be a painful experience but the way I see it, if you must pay it, you may as well pay as little as possible. I first discovered Endsleigh while at Uni. They handed me a leaflet while I was trying to escape from the university car park. It said they are the cheapest insurance ...
