Advantages: save £££'s on similar cover, easy to arrange

Disadvantages: none if you stick to reputable companies

When the car insurance was due for renewal last year I put the letter to one side..thinking I'll deal with that soon. Sods law being the most important job of the day it got left.

The day before it was due I found it and was suprised to notice the big increase over last years - extra £100 even though still a clean accident record.

I decided to shop around - too late for town centre broker thankfully the Yellow Pages provided literally 100's of contacts.

Picked out the best 6 ads and phoned around. Many of them are open until 10pm and wil arrange cover over the phone with a credit / debit card payment.


The one I settled on gave better cover and cost £150 less than my current renewal figure.
