Ironsure.com - was what the Internet was invented for! Quick, easy and cheap motor insurance at the press of a few buttons. But that was all in the past, now that the QBE Insurance Group has acquired Iron Trades Insurance Company. QBE has written to all customers announcing the closure of Ironsure.com. I am now looking for a new policy for my son's car. Ironsure were charging £148 a year - the nearest online quote I have found so far is £688! not very sure about this one, yes it gives you a quick quote, but the cover is paid on a monthly basis, great for certain people, but this obviously means it could jump drastically from one month to another, and what happens if your ill and dont check the price it could end up been rather expensive. No way will any of you by any means do it quicker than this. You need your name , postcode and car registration number and its almost instant. I,ve just insured a second car and again it worked like clockwork. How do they do it????
