Not a very Kwik fix (Kwik-Fit Insurance)

Advantages: Cheap at first.

Disadvantages: Very expensive to modify policy.

I renewed my car insurance last year with quick fit, it seemed too good to be true, they offered me a good rate and a free MOT when it was due. I had done all the comparison sites and it did seem to be one of the best.

I bought a new car 3 months later - they charged me nearly £40 extra "admin charge" and then another £20 a month to add my husband to the policy. I thought this was a rip off but I was tied into the contract.

The next problem i had was I had windscreen cover included in my policy and when I did have a chip in my screen I called my insurer and they said it would be fine and they would get someone to call me. I did receive a call a few hours later saying I could take my car to a garage that was about 10 miles from my house. I asked if I could just go literally 100 meters down the road and get it done at one of those mobile auto windscreen places and they said no it has to be done by who the specify!

Needless to say I was not impressed.

Summary: Not a great service I will not be renewing.
