We had been insured with Kwik Fit for three years and after reading other members horror stories felt it was my duty to extol their virtues.
When our insurance came up for renewal earlier this year we decided to shop around see if we could get a more competitive quote, we were successful and called Kwik Fit to see if they could better theirs to match the new quote we had. They did everything in their power to keep us, even down to fetching a supervisor who was able to allow bigger discounts than the operator. Anyway they couldn't match the quote so off we went to our new supplier that's when things started to go badly wrong. We sent certain documents in that they said they hadn't received, We knew we had, as we sent them all in the same envelope,and after many heated telephone calls we got fed up with the wrangling and decided it was too much like hard work, so went back to Kwik Fit as we had never had any problems dealing with them.

On our return to them we got an operator called Alison that was absolutely magnificent her customer service skills were second to none. When we had first gone to Kwik Fit 3 years previously my partner had not provided proof of his no claims bonus he simply forgot which meant he started from scratch. I just happened to mention to her that he had never made a claim in his life but had not got around to sending his proof in 3 years before so we had only 3 years no claims, she then asked us who we had been insured with before them so I told her. She said she would call them and would be able to verify it and make the quote better. Alison said she would call me back, and she did, but what I wasn't ready for is what she said next. Not only was the quote great but they were going to give us a refund (Yes an insurance company that doesn't mind paying out - I couldn't beleive it either) for the previous three
years insurance we had overpaid. In total it came to over £400.00 To say I was a happy chappie was the understatement of the year. I didn't expect it as really it was our own fault that we hadn't sent the proof in in the first place. So to all those of you who don't beleive you have been treated as you would like by Kwik Fit there are some of us who feel that they have provided a service which is a Delight! I for one won't be changing my service provider for a long time to come. Thank-You Kwik Fit and Alison!
