Budget Insurance Company ... i payed just £196 for a year which i payed as one payment by debit card. I was realy hapy to get a good deal and only have to pay that much but after a stone hit my windscreen and put a chip in it i became a little hesitant as to weather they would offer all they had said they would, one telephone call later and a repair man was on his way, i was told if they could repair the windscreen it wouldnt cost me a penny and if they replaced it i would only have to pay the £60 excess. That sounded good to me, they repaired my windscreen without any problems and it didnt cost me a thing. Taking out insurance with budget is realy easy you can do it over the phone or on line in... Diamond Car Insurance ... work does it state that they will automatically renew your policy if it hasnt been canceled. I asked to cancel the policy and was told i couldnt do so as there was a payment out standing and that i needed to pay untill the end of the month before they would cancel the policy. I payed the months insurance and then phoned back on the date they told me to to cancel only to be told it was too close to the next direct debit coming out of my account for me to cancel it now as they had already applyed for the funds. This direct debit they were taking was for the same month as the one i had just payed for by debit card so they got paid twice. I phoned abbey and had the... They come in ascending order of price, after which you can look at each one in a bit more detail. If you decide to go ahead to look at the policy properly, then you press a link to the insurance company's own website, and then deal with them. Confused.com takes a commission, but you don't pay any extra for using them as it comes from the insurance company whose policy you take up. It does look at a very good number of companies although it doesn't go everywhere. However, it gives a very good idea of market prices, and saves you a lot of time, as well as brokers' commissions.
