Direct Line ... have nearly everything insured with Direct Line, both our cars, our house and our life insurance. We also have Direct Line breakdown cover and home protection (if your boiler breaks down etc). They also provide a number of other products such as holiday insurance, pet insurance, loans and mortgages. We have been with Direct Line Car Insurance for a total of 6 years. Their car insurance is very competitive and we have always found them to be the cheapest and the best for service. I really like the fact that I am only a second driver and I have 2 years no claims! Direct Line ... had an accident 5 1/2 months ago. It was not my fault and the other party admitted all responsibilty. I am fully comp with 5 years no claims. Costs me about £500 a year. I had to pay upfront for a car hire, because my car was not road-worthy, and a £250 excess. They punted off the collection of this money to a 3rd rate solicitors firm. DL tell me that claim is finished, even though I haven t recieved any money from the Solicitors. They just say " contact the solicitors, not our responsibility". The solicitors keep telling me "the cheques in the post". DL are useless. Use anyone else other than them. I am going to change my insurance as soo... Tesco Car Insurance ... away from Tesco insurance. They demonstrate complete incompetence, laziness and unsubstantiated greed. I was involved in accident, third party at once admitted fault, and so their insurers. Not only I have informed to Tesco Insurance full details of 3rd party but even reference number of the 3rd party insurers. Third party insurers immediately agreed to pay... And what do you think - three months passed and nothing is done yet. Not only they are incompetent. Tesco Insurance degree of arrogance is sky high.
