Advantages: Friendly Helpful Staff, Not the cheapest but good policy, Known Company

Disadvantages: On-line process very slow

After several years with the Prudential I decided to check a few other motor insurance companies to compare quotes and cover.

I currently have several bank accounts with Nationwide and thought I would give them a go.

I found the on-line process very slow so decided to call them instead.

On the two ocassions I have called their sales team I have found them very friendly and helpful (to be expected) but more impressivley they were not at all pushy in the sale, in fact were very keen to make sure I had made the right choice.

The total quote came in at £97 under what the Prudential were offering. As for the cover, well in fact it was exactly the same policy as Prudential both underwritten by Churchhill Insurance.

On paying by Credit Card the policy and very neat and tidy documents followed 2 days later.

Don't get me wrong I had no problems with the Pru but this case just shows that its well worth shopping around on any re-newel.

PS: Not had to deal with them on any type of claim yet, but hopefully this will meet the standards I have come to expect.
