Norwich UnionNewest Review: ... tried at intervals every month or two, but it never worked. The biggest problem Norwich Union caused me was when I came to renew after a year. The renewal pack which was supposed to include my NCB for the year and my quote for the next year NEVER arrived. Instead I get a letter a few days AFTER my insurance was up, sending me a useless booklet advertising their other products that was ... more |

I chose Norwich Union after finding them to be the cheapest for car insurance through a comparison website. My sister was also using Norwich Union at the same time. The Norwich Union website was easy to use and I thought great ,so I paid for the insurance and went on my way cruising around in my vehicle. The problems aroused when I tried to access the 'online account' Norwich Union had said they had set up for me. Great I thought, easy to find documents and whatnot. WRONG. My ID wasn't even recognized, so to the online system I didn't exist. I phoned them up and got told 'The online system isn't quite working yet, you might have to wait a ... Read the complete review

The place I currently work has mandated that all non-employees must park in the NCP car park across the road, so not only forcing us for the privilege of working at the said establishment, but also giving us the joy of parking in a public car park. I had an incident with a Norwich Union driver and this is about my experience in dealing with Norwich Union on the matter. Day 1 - day of the accident, a white van towing a burger trailer moves up the driver side of my vehicle whilst my vehicle is parked stationary in the public car park. I get back to my car after work thinking (WTF) has happened to my car upon seeing the damage. The security guard is ... Read the complete review

The latest review of Norwich Union exactly echoes my own experience of RAC Direct car insurance( Norwich Union to all intents and purposes). Constantly given the run around by staff who don't care and are ill informed abut about their product. I spent 90 mins on the phone trying to make a complaint, spoke to 2 different companies, 8 different people and ended up back at the department who wouldn't help me in the first place! At one point I was put through to an office who's staff had just been made redundant and weren't taking calls!! I was told that the fact I was inconvenienced by their mistake was " irrelevant". I was misled, misdirected, lied to and came ... Read the complete review

We have had our car insurance with Norwich Union (via Barclays) for the past 3 years. We have never stayed with the same insurer before but they have come out as the cheapest insurer for us every time. The first year I went with them via Quidco and got £100 as well, which was a nice bonus. Their cover is pretty much standard although we always pay extra to protect our no claims discount as well as legal cover and a courtesy car. I am so glad that we paid the extra as just a week after moving our insurance to Norwich Union my husband had an accident. I can't praise Norwich Union enough. The car was towed away and taken to a Norwich Union approved garage within ... Read the complete review

Well so far we are insured with norwich union for our merc. The quote was very reasonable and was cheaper than most other insurers. you don't get the awkward questions from people on the phone and there are not so many questions to answer either. we first applied online but lost the quote number and called in the free phone number which was helpful if you are hold up in the queue. The person on the phone was very helpful. At first my husband wanted to insure it in his own name as I don't drive (but hold a provisional license). The quote was a bit high. But the advisor on phone said it could be cheaper if my husband adds me as a second driver (I don't have a ... Read the complete review
