Possibly the best insurer... (Norwich Union)

We have had our car insurance with Norwich Union (via Barclays) for the past 3 years. We have never stayed with the same insurer before but they have come out as the cheapest insurer for us every time. The first year I went with them via Quidco and got £100 as well, which was a nice bonus.

Their cover is pretty much standard although we always pay extra to protect our no claims discount as well as legal cover and a courtesy car. I am so glad that we paid the extra as just a week after moving our insurance to Norwich Union my husband had an accident. I can't praise Norwich Union enough. The car was towed away and taken to a Norwich Union approved garage within 45 minutes. Then within a week they had offered us £7k for our one year old Ford Focus (unfortunately the car was a write off). We showed them a few online adverts for cars in the region of £8-£8,500 and they gave us a cheque for £8k without any arguments. he whole claim was sorted in less than a month.

You can't ask for more than that!
