The latest review of Norwich Union exactly echoes my own experience of RAC Direct car insurance( Norwich Union to all intents and purposes). Constantly given the run around by staff who don't care and are ill informed abut about their product. I spent 90 mins on the phone trying to make a complaint, spoke to 2 different companies, 8 different people and ended up back at the department who wouldn't help me in the first place! At one point I was put through to an office who's staff had just been made redundant and weren't taking calls!! I was told that the fact I was inconvenienced by their mistake was " irrelevant". I was misled, misdirected, lied to and came away feeling cheated. Customer service is a concept which seems to be totally missing in all NU's employees - without exception in all 20 I spoke to. I will never again use NU or any of its companies. They settled my claim but in the process lost 6 policies as a result. My complaint to the MD is still outstanding.
