It won't 'Quote you happy' being a customer (Norwich Union)

I chose Norwich Union after finding them to be the cheapest for car insurance through a comparison website. My sister was also using Norwich Union at the same time.
The Norwich Union website was easy to use and I thought great ,so I paid for the insurance and went on my way cruising around in my vehicle.

The problems aroused when I tried to access the 'online account' Norwich Union had said they had set up for me. Great I thought, easy to find documents and whatnot. WRONG.

My ID wasn't even recognized, so to the online system I didn't exist.
I phoned them up and got told 'The online system isn't quite working yet, you might have to wait a few weeks'
I tried at intervals every month or two, but it never worked.

The biggest problem Norwich Union caused me was when I came to renew after a year. The renewal pack which was supposed to include my NCB for the year and my quote for the next year NEVER arrived.

Instead I get a letter a few days AFTER my insurance was up, sending me a useless booklet advertising their other products that was supposed to be sent with the non existent renewal pack I NEVER GOT.

I decided to ring up and find out what they would quote me for the next year. The price had actually gone UP £300. I said no thanks and decided I'd never use this company again.

I'd heard many bad things about this company; luckily I never needed to claim for an accident because the customer service is that bad I can imagine it being an absolute headache.
Funny thing was sister was renewing also and actually got REFUSED insurance for her 2nd year on the same car as before with no difference to her license, which made no sense at all.

Norwich Union now AVIVA are after one thing. Your money.

Summary: It may quote you happy but its cheap and NOT cheerful
