I got a car when I was 17, checking around for insurance, and I was being quoted stupid amounts, like upto £4000 even by well known companies.

Many companies wont even accept u when youve just passed your test. And especially when your 17.

Someone told me to go look at Norwich union, and I found out that they could give me a quote for just over £1000, fully comp, I was extremely impressed with their service also. So it appears that there one of the cheapest companies out there. So I suggest you go look there first
