Advantages: customer service, speed and efficiency of dealing with claim

We had our car insurance with a 'brand x' insurance company for several years, before this year getting a surprisingly good deal and swapping to NORWICH UNION.
The girl on the phone was very helpful and polite and the quote we got was excellent. We sliced a hug chunk off of our existing 'brand x' insurance and we paid no more for doing it my direct debit.
I have had to claim on the insurance once when our windscreen was smashe in by a vandal, while it was parked in a multi storey car park. One phone call and the Autoglass fitter was over here in just over an hour - brilliant.
He fixed the windscreen - but I had to pay the excess - and we were up and running again.
I must say I've been extremely impressed by NU's customer service and after all the acid test of any insurance - cheap or expensive is how they deal with a claim. In my case - so far - no problems, great service, modest rates.
