I recently changed my car and decided to switch insurance companies whilst i was at it. i did a comparison through confused.com and the one that came out cheapest was Swiftcover . I hadn't heard of the company before but as the quote was so cheap decided to risk it! Another advantage was that they were on Quidco (the cashback website) so i would get £45 cashback from there too.

I applied for the insurance online and it all went through instantly, you recieve an email with log in details for your own section of the website where you can change details and print out your insurance documents. All i needed to do was post or scan and email them a copy of my proof of no claim discount.

When my proof of no claims arrived from my previous insurer i realised that i actually had 5 years and not 4 as i had put on my application for insurance. Not thinking there was much they could do about that I decided to give it a go and give them a ring, the phone was answered instantly by a very nice bloke (who was located in this country) I explained the problem and he straight away dropped the price by £20 which was refunded back onto my payment card.

Luckily I have had no need to claim through them so can't comment on that side of things but judging by the service I have so far recieved they should be good to deal with.

Summary: Recommended insurer-remember to go through Quidco!
