Please do not rate this review - still waiting for Dooyoo to move it to proper channel. Thought this might help some fellow 'frugal living enthusiasts' in these difficult times! Yes, you really do get £50 of free food shopping vouchers from Tesco Car Insurance. Ours arrived during the week and we are going to spend them today. This did, in the end, make them the cheapest for car insurance quotes, by the time we had subtracted the food shopping money (which to us translates just the same as 'real cash' as we need it anyway) - they were £70 cheaper. I was with tesco last year, had an accident on 28dec06 driver admitted at the seen. Then apparently his insurance said that he had witness, his wife that was in the car saying it was my fault. This dragged out for over a year, we made over 50 calls to tesco and ended up dealing with their solictors ourselves, as tesco were incompetent. The lack of communication is tescos problem, they know nothing at all. I had to ring the other parties insurance aswell. Tesco never ring you to let you know where the claims at. I finally got it sorted in Jan 08, only to find out the other driver admitted the claim 5 months before, I found this from the solicitors. The whole year we had stress to find this out which topped it all off. (moral is) dont use TESCOS car insurance just cause its CHEAP!
