The garage finally collected Tuesday, no courtesy car was provided and then they quoted £1,800 for a new bonnet and bumper, so Tescos wrote it off. Also they say they'll automatically replace child seats fitted to the car at the time of an accident, but have your receipts or they'll only pay 70% of the cost for a like for like replacement. Ended positively though, they Cat C'd the car and paid out. I bought the car back and am getting it repaired for less than the payout, so their loss this time ;) Still won't be taking th... more

Got the free MOT & Service voucher with my Insurance through Tesco. Booked the car in and ready to go. Having worked as a mechanic many years ago and still work on minor repairs to my vehicle and over 20 yrs of driving experience, I am familiar with the techno jargen and little white lies. Heres what happened Service: first off they told me I defo. need synthestic oil, thats £22. streight away. I paid this , thought what the hell, it would cost me that in time and oil anyway, but the surprise I had was that, it was just an oil change NO oil filter change (very Bad). Last year, around April, my car was broken into outside of my house. As soon as I realised (on my way to college) I phoned the police and got my crime reference number and then phoned tesco up. They were very helpful and arranged things very quickly. I was expecting it to take a week or two for things to get underway, but by 2pm on the same day, my car had been ...  Read the complete review

Despite Tesco's very competitive prices [the reason I was drawn to them in the first place], getting car insurance with them turned out to be an absolute waste of time: I am appalled with the way they have acted as an insurer. I was happily insured with Tesco for two years before I was involved in a rear shunt with a lorry on the motorway, from which I was lucky to walk away. My car had a catastrophic engine failure: the driver behind me did not leave enough space. Fair enough you think? No. At first Tesco said it was the third party's fault [as you would expect] and paid out for my written-off car. I asked them to inspect my vehicle for engine problems but all they did .  Read the complete review

This is the worse insurance company I have ever been with and i am over 50.I had a non fault claim and Tesco DONT DO ANYTHING and I have fully comp top cover, they just cannot be bothered, they are absolutely hopeless.I know it sounds like there must be more to it but i assure you there is not, their customer services are totally useless.Unfortunately I have my home insurance with Tesco as well but i dont care how much it costs me I will NEVER insure anything with Tesco again.
