Avoid Tesco Car Insurance at all costs! Our car was stolen from outside our house, through no fault of our own. It was locked and immobilised and the Police reckon it was stolen by a professional gang using a low loader.

Over 2 months later, Tesco still haven't paid out and have given no indication of when (if ever!) they will. They only provided a free hire car for 2 weeks after the car was stolen. We have had to buy a replacement car, although have not yet seen a penny from Tesco, so we are well out of pocket - no holidays this year!

The Claims Department is a complete joke. They tell you something different every time you contact them and (surprise, surprise!) the person dealing with the claim is never "at their desk" when you phone.

We are resigned to the fact now that we will have to engage the services of a solicitor and take legal action against Tesco to recover the money.

Tesco may be one of the cheaper insurance companies, but let's face it, if they're not going to pay out when your car is stolen what's the point in insuring it with them in the first place.

AVOID TESCO INSURANCE AT ALL COSTS!!! TESCO SHOULD STICK TO SUPERMARKETS.
