Advantages: Cheap to start with

Disadvantages: No NCD Certificate, Unhelpful Staff

We went with Tesco last year on our old Micra and it had to be written off in November as it failed its MOT and would cost far more than the car was worth to repair. They said it would be best to drop the cover to TPF&T so that we could get our 1 year No Claims Discount. Well the following month we were apparently in an accident yet the car was in the garage and off the road. It took us months of calls to get this sorted. We phoned up one time and said there is no way that it could have been our car, they said it was their mistake and we thought that was the end of it. Wrong! A few weeks later we got another letter saying we still had a claim against us. Eventually after more calls it was sorted.

When we had to renew, they quoted us about £100 more than the previous year so we went elsewhere and found a quote that was half the price at Swift. So we signed up to swift and they required the proof of the NCD Certificate which we did not have. It is now the end of May and we cancelled at the beginning of the month and we have not recieved the certificate. I phoned up a few days ago and they said it had been sent on the 1st of May and that they would send another out in the business post 1st class. That was Monday of this week, we still have not got it.

Are they just playing with us now since we went elsewhere? More than likely.
