Tesco Personal FinanceNewest Review: ... considering i was expecting it to be in the two grand mark. I like tesco coz you can set it up on line and be covered in minutes. You can pay by instalments (about 8% APR) and you get lots of customer service support if you have any trouble. As i never had to make a claim i never had to deal with investigators like one person one here did (they had a lot of trouble) and i feel sorry for that person who did. They have not given me any trouble at all. good things are that they renew automatically (so that you dont get caught short as some people forget about these things) and i you dont want to just one quick call will halt it. They still se... more |

when i got my first car i had the harrowing time of looking for car insurance. Being a student with no experience under my belt you can imaging the damage i ecpected to be done to my purse. well hold on there partner. Im a avid internet surfer and during the hours of insurance hunting i found tesco;s motor insurance. Imagine my surprise when me, a first timer managed to get insurance for 1170 pounds for TPFT. Not bad considering i was expecting it to be in the two grand mark. I like tesco coz you can set it up on line and be covered in minutes. After doing a lot of searching around for insurance for my car on the internet I came across Tescos. After previously being with admiral I was pleased to find that Tesco's where about £20 cheaper. With hindsight I wish I had staid where I was. After having a bad accident and writing off the car I contacted them less than 24 hours after the accident informing them and they said they would send an assesor out to look at it within 3 days wich after many phone calls and reminders turned into 3 weeks. This was not the end of there terrible service, I spoke to the assesor when he finaly turned up and agred on a price but its now 12 weeks since the accident and I am still ... If your car insurance is due in the near future and you're awaiting the renewal quote, prepare to cry like a baby. They've gone up like a rocket. What with floods, more uninsured drivers, plagues, locusts rife throughout the land (and all the other excuses the insurance companies use), expect to see your premiums rise. My case in point - on the month leading up to my 6th accident free year, I was expecting my premium (done through the Halifax) to rise a bit, but not by the mind-curdling amount of £170 ! From previously paying £420-ish which included a roadside recovery, legal assisstance and windscreen cover package I was quoted in an insanely cheerful ... Read the complete review

Having just bought a new car I was really keen to shop around and get some cheap motor insurance. I thought this would not take me too long as I did the same thing last year, but no, everyone I seemed to phone have me absolutely ridiculous quotes. I am under 25 (only just!) and having passed my test some 7 years ago with 6 years no claims I was amazed at the prices people were quoting me - £500+ for a L reg Fiesta 1.3 - no modifications. After many evenings of phoning insurance companies and resigning myself to paying a sky high premium, I picked up a leaflet for Tesco Motor inurance in one of their pertrol stations. When I got home and phoned the number I ... Read the complete review
