Arai are renwand for making excelent quality helmets that are specially designed to not only look good but to serve the purpose they were intended for and protect your head in an impact.

This helmet was available in 7 different paint jobs not just the one pictured above, the graphics on all the helmets are excelent and to a very high standard, I had my helmet for 4 years before I got a new one.
This is a full face helmet so is road legal and is the predocessor of the quantum 2, it is a light weight fiber glass helmet so no neck strain from wearing it and it has a realy comfortable interior making it a pleasure to wear. The cheek pads are removable and available in different sizes so you can adjust this to fit you perfectly and are removable for washing.
It has rear air vents to keep your head cool wholst wearing it and does a great job of protecting your head in an impace as the fiber glass disperses the impact energy so it isnt on one spot.

When these first came out they retailed at around £500 which is to be expected for an item of this quality but people were not willing to part with this large sum of money so prices started to drop as the item got older.

You can still buy this helmet now on places like ebay but I would be wary of this as a helmet cannot be used again after impact and it is not always possible to tell just from looking at it if it has had an impact and helmets have date stampas of when they were produced, I saw one on ebay last night trying to sell a 2000 date stamped helmet, you should replace your helmet every 5 years for saftey reasons so technically this helmet may look like new but is 3 years past its use by date.
