Advantages: Warm, Comfy, Fit well
Disadvantages: Weak Popper stud on some
Sold under the brand name "Tuareg". Cordura outer layer with Sheltex membrane, "Hipotec" CD armour at hips and knees, removable thermal lining, adjustable waist and full zip for attaching to jacket. I am tall with long legs and these fit great. They are warm enough to use through winter (which i did) and totally waterproof. I have the HG Voyager 2 jacket and these make a good snug fit with the jacket. The pockets on the trousers also appear to be waterproof and stuff does not fall out of them. There are also larger cargo pockets on the knees for bulky items. Happily hold 2 bottles beer each - ahem. Not while riding, of course (officer). The only gripes are that the fastner at the zip is a bit weak. Apparently there was a bad batch, but HG should fix this under warranty with no quibbles. And that the knee armour (on me) seems slightly out of place; but the "Hiprotec" snap system will let me move it without any bother (when I get around to it). My partner has a spill at about 30mph wearing these and shee came away fine with nothing more than dented pride and a few small bruises. Maybe they don't off the absolute protection of leather, but being warm and comfortable they should allow you to concentrate more on what you are doing rather than the fact both your legs are numb! [Sorry, I can't remember the price]
