Arai Signet GT ... have been riding for 17 years now and have had a variety of helmets. I bought my first Arai, a Giga 2, back in 94. Once I had one nothing compared. Four years later the Giga was damaged but I could not afford another one so a cheap replacement was bought until I could afford another. May this year I visited my local bike shop and spotted the Signet GT on the shelf, it is quite distinctive owing to its array of vents and slightly pointed front. I asked to try it on and immediately wanted it! For my head the Signet was a perfect fit in all respects so I walked out the shop the owner of a new Signet GT! AGV X-Vent Helmet ... X-Vent is one of AGV's most popular helmet designs, it's placed just below it's top of the range EVO and shares many of it's more expensive siblings features. The helmet's shell is constructed of Advanced Composite Fibres and utilises AGV's TAC System (Total Air Control) with six air flow ports for ventilation. The overall finish is very high and the paint is very thick, It uses the double D ring fastening which means that you cannot undo the helmet with one had or while wearing gloves. Caberg Just One ... have to say there are several features which impressed me, not all of which are documented. ~~~why a flip?~~~ Firstly I wanted a flip style (sometimes called 'system') helmet to avoid taking my specs off when I removed or put my helmet on. Forget it. You simply have to take them off anyway, as the arms get caught on the padding. ~~~fit~~~ When I tried it on in the shop, the fit was extremely tight. The guy in the shop said it would loosen up, and he was right.
