I bought a fusion CL-12 as a cheaper second helmet for commuting - I didn't fancy leaving £400 of Arai Viper in my works locker all day! I was very pleasantly surprised in how far HJC helmets have come along since I first tried them. I did the research on budget helmets and spent a couple of weekends trawling around shops to try on various XXL helmets to see which ones would actually fit a XXL head.
Don't get me wrong, this helmet isn't the bee's knees, but it is a pretty good value one. I was looking for a lid for under £100. The best option I could find (and would recommend to others) was this one - unless you're happy to buy a second hand higher quality one off ebay. It's your head inside it, so it's your head that's got to make that kind of decision. I chose the new, cheaper helmet option!
