Yamaha Fazer FZS600:
... the reviews stated this bike is ideal for just about any type of riding, touring, commuting, fun days out and B road blasting. I bought mine in the Spring of 2004 and have used it for all of these types of riding and have to say it almost, not quite, but almost lives up to the hype. My bike a shiny blue one, R1 Blue I m told, after scratching it once I found its listed as Deep Purlish Blue Metallic on the Yamaha ... Honda CBR600F ... passed my DAS in July 2007 and researched bikes based on looks performance rideability and cost. I finally came to the conclusion that the CBR 600F was the only bike for a new rider who wants to safely ride with street cred. I had never rode a bike before my 7 half day lessons which equates to about 28 hours of riding and at leaset 6 of those hours was on a 125cc moped with no gears. The point being I am (was) a novice when I was looking for a bike after passing my test and I was advised not to get a sports bike by most non riders, however i read magazines and reviews which all said the CBR 600F was a good learner bike so I went with my gut instinct and brought a 2005 ... Other Kawasaki... ... is the Kawasaki Versys a relatively new offering from those Kawaski people. Its a 650cc water cooled twin cylinder which can be slotted into the all rounder bike category. It uses the ER6 engine in a larger trailie stlyled frame so if you are under 5 7" tall be careful. It has long travel suspension and the engine is tuned to mid range in the useful 40 to 75 mph range. I will do up to 115 mph where the law allows you to do so, but this is no sports bike. The tank will see you do 200 miles between refills and in these days of inflationary petrol costs thats no bad thing. Styling is something you ll love or hate - I love it - it sort of grows on you and I like t... Read the full review: Mr do it all in a nice total package - The Kawaski Versys 650 by casperdog777 |

Ducati 600SS ... wanted the Ducati belt drive cam (Dahma?) when it came out in the seventy s. four years ago I was "payed off" with a well used 600ss. I ve ridden for 30 years, good bikes and dogs and this one beats all. And it s only little. Yea, it needs care but it got me from Oxford to Newent in serious snow and through the floods in Gloucester when B M W transwhatsits were giving up.... And on the track!!!!!!!! David is fussy about front tires. Contis are good though you need to hold the bikes head up when giving it some in a bend, Pirelly are much better but give no clue about when you re going to lose the front end. I use fuel addative and "premium" juc... Read the full review: DUCATI 600SS. A THING OF JOY. by TASLIM SINCLAIR-BELL |
