Other Kawasaki...: ... tall be careful. It has long travel suspension and the engine is tuned to mid range in the useful 40 to 75 mph range. I will do up to 115 mph where the law allows you to do so, but this is no sports bike. The tank will see you do 200 miles between refills and in these days of inflationary petrol costs thats no bad thing. Styling is something you'll love or hate - I love it - it sort of grows on you and I like th...

TASLIM+SINCLAIR-BELL Ducati 600SS
... years ago I was "payed off" with a well used 600ss. I've ridden for 30 years, good bikes and dogs and this one beats all. And it's only little. 'Yea, it needs care but it got me from Oxford to Newent in serious snow and through the floods in Gloucester when B M W transwhatsits were giving up.... And on the track!!!!!!!! David is fussy about front tires. Contis' are good though you need to hold the bikes head up when giving it some in a bend, Pirelly are much better but give no clue about when you're going to lose the front end. I use fuel addative and "premium" juce 'cause it goes better on that. You get nothing below 3500RPM and if you ask for pu...

... ease - not to say the Night Train wouldn't have been a great bike too - just not as much leg room. I took the trip to Sturgis this year which was about 550 miles in one day - not that far but I felt like I could have gone twice as far as I still felt fresh (no windshield - Sidewinder seat). Nice riding postion (I'm 6'2" - 210lb), good looks, handles good (very light steering - minimal effort), good brake feel, runs great (stage one, se ac,V&H Big Radius, Cobra F2000R digital fuel processor - and a wide tire kit). This is my 7th motorcycle (2nd Harley - all bikes 1000cc or more - 2 sport bikes and 1 Goldwing and the rest tour/cruisers) and the Wide Glide fits me...

... that had vibrated loose and rectified the problem. I continued riding the bike (which became known as "The Chinese Object") for another month or so, all the time being shaken to virtual oblivion whilst trying to calculate my speed in my head before the next problem struck – the headlamp failed whilst I was negotiating a particularly dark unlit country lane. This potentially lethal episode was shortly followed by the slightly more comical incident when the handbrake lever pulled straight out of the dashboard whilst I was attempting a hill start. After fixing these problems I acquired a new MPH speedo from the supplier - sadly, this too read in KMH and so he ...
