BMW K1200LT:
... is The Daddy. A Total Ubherfuhrer of motorcycle touring. I’m sure that there’s no other bike that can match its single minded focus of demolishing thousands of miles in comfort in the least possible time. That includes the Goldwing. The Goldwing is its nearest natural competitor. But by comparison the Goldwing is just a chrome plated tractor. On the K1200LT you can chase and overtake a Yamaha 1300 mounted local... BMW R850R ... d just passed my Direct Access Motorcycle Test and was looking for something that was stylish and of good quality but not your run-of-the-mill Japanese "Pocket Rocket". I had always admired the BMWs anyway and loved the looks of the R850R and it s big sister, the R1150R. I had also greatly enjoyed the highly acclaimed TV series "The Long Way Round" with Ewan McGregor and Charlie Boorman, in which they rode BMW R1150GS Adventures around the world. The BMWs looked to be a serious piece of kit. I ruled out the GS Adventure straight away. It was a big tall bike and, being a relative newcomer to biking, I needed a more manageable and gentler machine. The... Read the full review: BMW R850R? A great first bike! by jonothan |

Vespa GT200 ... bought this scooter 2 weeks ago today. What a blast. I looked at scooters on line for over 6 months. I had come down to basically 2 models the kymco People 250, and the Vespa GT200. In the end I went with the Vespa. Reasons I chose the Vespa were a few. I much prefered the retro look, the reputation, and the seat. I sat on both I am 6 3" tall and on the people because of the stepped seat I could not slide far enough back. I felt close to the steering. I have 692 miles on this scooter in 2 weeks so I am really enjoying it. I take it out daily to work and back, and also for nice long rides of at least an hour. It handles very good, the automatic works well, and the... Read the full review: Vespa GT200 by EBC111 |

Piaggio X9 ... ve got one of the early X9500, although not one of the very first ones that were recalled. All I can say is that it is the worst buy and the biggest waste of money ever. I ve had it 3 yrs from new now and thank god I took out the extended warranty. It has had no less than two seperate engine rebuilds in about 15000 miles. Both were known problems according to the dealer, although Piaggio UK didn t want to discuss them direct with me. In fact Piaggio were downright unhelpful and it was only when I threatened them with legal action and bad publicity they decided to pay-up. The first time was due to a basic design fault, a screw on the centre stand can be forced up int... Read the full review: Bad Buy! by Warren00 |
