I love the looks- the beautiful twin beam alluminium spars setting it apart from anything else- I prefer the minimalist styling to the full on race theme of it's sibling RSV. It's hard to belive they bill this bike as a sports tourer-but that is reflected in the insurance premiums- cheaper than a 94 900ss that's worth half as much with 30% less power. To say I'm chuffed with my latest bike, a 2000 model sl mille falco in black, is an understatement. I'd just sold a 94 Ducati 900ss, which I loved, but after it fried the regulator and a trip to Scotland left me needing a trip to the oesteopath- it fell out of favour. What the ducati did do was confirm my passion for big twins. The first thing I noticed whilst mounting the falco was the physical size-not too much seat height-but a comfortable riding postion-I'm 5'11" and 15 stone-the duc was tiny in comparison.
