Advantages: fast, own class, the best 50cc around

Disadvantages: needs constant fixing, parts can be hard to find, jumping out of gear

the rs 50! this bike is in a class of its own, as every 16 year olds know's the rs 50 is more than likly to be the best bike going. this 50 cc bike is easy capable of doin 60mph average (de-restricted) and more when it wants to... on the other hand the really boring people who darnt take the ristrictor out. in that case it is only capable of reachin extreamly boring speeds like 33mph. i have had my rs50 just over a month and abit i have done around 600miles on it so far due to being fixed and the rainy days. around 200 of them miles are thrashed round the country side where the top speed i have had is 66mph. the 50cc rs has to be the the best bike for eating the road it handels well and has a good reputation to keep up. then we come to the bad parts of the rs50 are the throttle is very easy to burn out and every trip i go out on it will jump out of gear then it will rev the the 'balls' of it and may cut out. so all in all the rs kind of speaks for it self.

NOTE TO ALL 16 YEAR OLDS:
Save yourself the money on an 50cc geared bike- the power of the thing doesnt make it worth the effort. Save your money and get an RS125cc when you turn 17.... its a million miles better and a propper bike.
If your in need of transport at 16 then buy a cheap 50cc scooter. Its a better use of your money.
Read my review of the RS125cc at the RS125 page of this site for more info on the 50's big brother...

Have the same problem with it jumping out of gear. Runs better if the engine's warmed up first.

Hi and welcome to dooyoo. Perhaps you could have given us a little more information about your bike, so we can judge it as a good buy or not. Have a read around and enjoy the site.
