If you want a stylish learner legal motorcycle with Italian racing pedigree this is definitly a class leader and best seller. Years of sucess on the track have given Aprilia the knowledge and the ability to take on the might of the japanese manufactures and compete sucessfully in the road going market and produce the Sr125R. Riding this motorcycle as a first time rider it is very much a user freindly vehicle in the sense that it has enough power for executing manouvres safely but not enough to surprise the rider and start producing wheelies etc. Comfort is not one of the bikes best attributes, but hey you dont buy this bike to go shopping on ,also having a small engine you can for ever be up an down the 6 speed gear box. If however it is keep within the right rev range the bike can then show its class leading performance.Experianced bikers may find riding this bike hard work but for any rider wishing to become a two wheeled road user this race replica would be an ideal leaning curve. Like all bikes an alarm should be a wise port of call for owners of this desirable machinary

It seems like you are actually describing the RS125R rather than the SR125. I will re rate the opinion if it is moved to the proper category.

If scooters are ever given personalities, then the SR125 has to described as a hooligan. Once the engine had warmed up, usually after about one mile, then throttle response is instantaneous. Forward propulsion is sufficient to keep ahead of all four wheelers in town traffic, and provocative enough to induce owners of 600cc and above "proper" bikes to prove the point that they CAN out accelerare you. A firm suspension and grippy tyres mean that corners are more likely to be limited by your own bottle than the bikes capabilities. Brakes used in unison will cope with any eventuallity. A factory rear carrier and colour coded top box ensures that not only does your pillion have somewhere to stow a full face helmet, (yours goes under the seat) but also that they are less likely to fall off when the bike is being flung around. This is one two wheeler that inspires confidence. The newcomer to the biking fraternity will feel reassured by a natural riding position, ease of handling, and all the power needed to keep you out of trouble. The seasoned rider will simply want to respond to an attitude that begs "Try me - if you dare" We all know that he who dares wins, and if you own one, then you're a winner! Contrary to what the reader may expect, I have no connection with the manufacturer or its distributers, I'm just a biker of 39 years experience. This baby is good -it's very good.
