Advantages: Excellent teachers, reliable bikes, great pass rate!

After many years of making excuses not to take my motorcycle test, I finally decided to go for it, not only that but to go for the Direct Access course - so you can ride any size bike after passing.

I found Biketrain Wales in Cwmbran, South Wales, through a friend, and I couldn't be happier that I went with them. From the very start they were clear that they would be overly critical of our skills and would be pulling us up for the slightest of mistakes, even for things which the examiner would probably not care! However, throught the 3 day long course I found that their teaching skills really boosted my confidence.

The day runs for 3 consecutive days, with a huge learning curve, going from learner to your test on the forth day. However, they are excellent teachers, for example: the narrowest road the DVLA expect you to do a U-turn on is 6 & 1/2 meters, Biketrain make you do it on 5 & 1/2 - making any road the examiner throws at you a doddle!

I passed first time and I truely belive it was through their excellent teaching methods and top notch skill! It felt, for most of the time, like going for a ride with some mates! When I did the course it cost £490, when everywhere else wanted £600! I can't speak highly enough of them!
