I owned a 2001 registered Raptor 650 for a year and used it sparingly. Compared to anything previous (I have owned many Japanese machines since 1972) it was simply outstanding. Small, light, brilliant brakes and handling, very comfortable and reliable. The engine always fired up first time, ran smoothly and revved freely. The most amzing thing was the throttle response. I've rarely ridden a carburettored bike that had such an instant repsonse regardless of load, humidity or altitude. This bike deserves to out sell the Suzuki SV 650. Unfortunately this won't happen. However, anyone lucky enough to own the Raptor 650 or 100 model, won't find a better bike short of a full ... Read the complete review
