... bought my liquid cooled Derbi Atlantis 50cc and haven?t looked back since. I initially wanted to buy a 125cc motorbike but couldn?t afford to pay the insurance (rip off ireland) so I started doing some research into scooters and was pleasantly surprised when I found reviews on the atlantis. Shortly after I spotted an ad in the paper, a brand new derbi atlantis selling for ?1200(bargin), the reason for it being so cheap was because it was won in a raffle and the winners returned it to the dealer as they had no use for it and wanted a quick sale. I delivered it to Katherine, and she loved it! T...

Twist and go means that there are no clutch and no gears, so it is a doddle to ride as you just twist the handle and go. The brakes are as on a conventional bicycles on the handlebars. There is disc brake to the front and drum to the rear wheel. The 7.2 litre fuel tank, (1.6 gals) will take you about 100 miles which is a good mpg for a 50 cc two stroke. Starting is either electric or kick-start and I have never had any bother starting mine. It's garaged at home but left out all night at work. The i...
