What a bike !! The Ducati 900ss if just sublime , absoloutly fantastic. If you have seen one you will understand what I mean . The Italian design the speed and incredible power just makes this bike simply the best.
However to get such a great specimen you would have to part with up to £10,000 more than some good cars.
But what would you rather have a rover 200 or the best motor bike in the world.?????
I personally believe this ducati to be superior to the rest however I believe all ducati's to be better than any other brand of bike.

- 14/10/02 I have owned the model prior to this, although I admit the 'terreblanche' is an improvement on the former model. Although they do look and sound exquisite(they don't handle badly either) they should only set you back around £7000 new-maybe you maybe thinking of the more illustrious 998 series which is more in line with your comments! and even this can be matched and in some cases exceeded by less exotic machinery; see suzuki gsxr1000 and yam yzf r1, not to mention the Italian rival, the Aprilia RSVR mille. All these bikes don't have the 'soul', say, of the Ducatis, but offer more fun per pound and are all at least as well made.

- 12/07/00 Have you ever riden theis bike? I think not. To ride and pillion on the Ducati range is definetly an experience. Going on the back of my mates 916 last year was one of the most scarey experineces of my life. Ducatis are speed and looks and nothing else. The build quality is poor and they are ver expensice, plus you don't even get a petrol gauge. For less oney you can get better quality handling and power, try the Yammaya R1, it'll blow any Ducati, or anyother bike for that matter, on speed and looks.
