shelleyzie Other Ducati...: ... the same 600cc desmo engine as used by the later 600SS and Monsters, fitted into one of Ducati's earlier s/s trellis frames. The TL was the touring version of the Pantah, by virtue of a Kawasaki-esque bikini faring. It's not the prettiest of the late-vintage Ducs, but can be bought cheaply (£800 - £1500). Be warned, if you have a small left-hand, as the clutch is not hydraulically assisted, ...

... is a baby bike that uses premium parts. Make it better by fitting parts from the Ducati Performance catalogue. Or buy a used 748. But it's a great entry-level Duc, and can be bought at bargain prices. Provided you do some basic stuff once bought - race cans, decent plugs and leads, Splitfires,K&N, Scottoiler...loads of WD40 on the switchgear...you'll be fine. BHP is pretty disgraceful compared to modern Jap 600s, but the old desmo twin is extremely tunable, and with the right attention to detail, you'll be able to turn it into an evil little streetfighter, capable of scaring old ladies everywhere. I wouldn't recommend it to novices or anyone ...

Ducati 900SS
... Ducati 900SS injection is the latest evolutionary version of this machine. It looks drop dead gorgeous, but must be in red!! To purchase any other colour is akin to buying a British Racing green Ferrari, you will also not be able to sell it on without an even bigger residual loss. The marque will often affectionately be referred to as ‘The Duke.’ The Ducati mark has excelled in World bike racing over the last few years and I’m sure sells a large number of machines because of this New, you can purchase the machine for £7000ish, import and save at least a grand, or by second hand. Yhis latest model came out two years ago and you will have no p...

... couldn't allow this site to continue any longer without some words on the most beautiful bike in the word. I recently rode a 748 round Cadwell Park as part of a Ducati Experience with Brands Hatch Leisure. The day itself was very well organised and particularly good if you are considering buying a 748. The engine is a beauty - it pulls from nothing and sounds gorgeous (fitted with a nice set of Termignoni's). The handling and brakes were utterly dependable and predictable. Looks quite good too! If you live within easy reach of the kinds of roads which would do this bike justice and are buying the bike as a weekend today, don't delay buy today. ...
