The daddy of all 125 scooters If you like scooters you will love the gilera runner. I work at Midland Scooter Centre in Nottingham and this is the best scooter I have ever ridden. Its does everything what you expect and more, a standard runner 125 is capable of around 70mph, excellent handling with some good tires e.g. Bridgestone ml50`s if you can get a hold of some. Under seat storage for what ever your needs are, capable of holding a full faced helmet. From 1999 onwards they have a double disc front and rear and a 12 liter petrol tank unlucky for those with a pre 99 runner with an 8.5 liter tank and a rear drum brake. When you getting board of your gilera (if you do), don?t give up hope there is more Thanks to malossi and many other brands of tuning parts and accessories available for the runner. You can buy a 172kit (£200) (head, barrel and piston) (not for the week hearted) this will make your bike accelerate a ?bit? quicker it will now be doing about 80mph. Then you could get a 25mm carb kit (£115) which again?.will make it a ?little? faster, Then from there you could get a sport exhaust e.g. a scorpion full stainless (£225) or if you have go some money a malossi exhaust (£390) by the time you have done this you will have to have your grin surgically removed from your face. Then when you have scratched your panels trying to get a grip on the power and start getting used to beating the boy racers in there golf gti`s you can get many more parts to go a little faster. Sadly the gilera runner has died because they can not meet the new emissions law and the 4 stroke runner has taken its place. If you have any questions about parts or accessories give me a ring on 0115 9392713 press two for parts and ask to speak to Craig, mail order available where ever you are.
