TOp speed were attained before i could bling, i about 5 seconds, and the acceleration was so much that on my first tryoutof the bike, i performed an involuntary half-wheelie. If you need speed and mobility, then this is the bike. The handling is also perfect, and since it is built like a racing bike, you can really take deep turns without too much disc...more

I bought my new Gilera Runner 50 SP about a week ago. Before that i onwed an old vespa, which had good performance, considering it was tuned, but a very low reliability. YOU need to be able to count on your machine to start and go what you want it to when you need it to do that. After much research, and observation, i settled for the Runner. i have the new model, i have owned it for around 6 weeks now, when it was restricted it use to do 40mph, now i have had it deristricted it does about 53mph down a hill and about 45mph on a flat but i do weigh 15stone, when it is deristricted it will go up hills about 10mph faster it wont pull away any quicker but acelaration from 20mph to 40mph is very fast. it does about 90miles to the gallon restricted and deristricted abou 70 to 80 miles to the gallon. if u no how it will will pull good wheelies, the problems i have encountered with this bike being 6ft tall i am quite big and gilera have increased the size of the passenger seat so there is less room for the rider to ...  Read the complete review

I bought my Gilera Runner DD 50cc motor scooter just over a year now and have been pleasantly surprised with it. I bought it to mainly use when the car wasn't available but have found myself using it more and more recently. I know you see a lot of scooters on the roads these days - many of which seem to be holding the traffic up but not mine. It will go comfortably at 50mph and a bit faster if needed which is an ideal speed for travelling back and forth to work. The petrol costs are really good and insurance is ok. As long as you have a full motor vehicle licence you don't even need to do any bike training. An excellent alternative to the motor vehicle for short ...  Read the complete review
