Advantages: Probs the best make of electric scooter out there
Disadvantages: price and laws
Go ped are a manufacture of motorized scooters, as well as just normal scooters. They are probably the best make that you can get your hands on, but obviously, they are also one of the most expensive!
So, what makes Go ped "better than the rest"
Well, in this review i am talking specifically about electric scooters and push scooters, as i do not know a lot about petrol scooters. Firstly, battery power and size. The Go ped's battery can pretty much take you within a 13 mile radius, which is quite far, enough to make it useful! This can be done by having an "economy" driving mode, (which is slower) but when you want a bit of extra power, you simply slip it into "boost" mode, and you get a bit more power, great for going up hills. The ride on them is not bad either, compared with other electric scooters, as they have nice big tires
If we compare this to say, the Razor electric bikes, which have a battery life of under 15 mins (they claim more than this, but after the first charge, the time gets lower and lower!). Also, goped hit a speed of around 20 miles per hour, so they are actually quite useful
The only problems i see with them are two things.
Firstly, the laws in the uk are not that clear about scooters yet, so the only reason i haven't got one myself yet, is because i am worried that it will get taken off me, if anyone knows what the laws in the uk are, please comment them
And secondly, the price, Goped electric scooters cost around £1000, which is pretty steep...
Summary: good fun, but until things are made clearer if they are allowed or not, im personally not getting 1
