Advantages: Great fun!, Great fun!, Great fun!
Disadvantages: a bit too overpriced, can be unreliable, not as good as expected
Go-peds have got to be the best thing ever made by man kind! ...that is until you get bored of it and realise that you could have spent your money on something better. Just a word of warning to people who are prepared to purchase a go-ped. I bought a second hand liqumatic go-ped a couple of years ago, it was great fun and they are so easy to ride once you have gotten used to the feel of it. When you buy a go ped you might think of it as a mode of transport e.g. a way to get to friends houses or go to the shop. But once you have had it for a while you will start to realise its more hassle than its worth getting it out, checking it, fueling it up, starting it, warming it up, riding it (the fun bit) , then chaining it to a fence. Then when you go back home you have to clean it, let it cool down and put it away again. If this still dosnt bother you are you are still prepared to go ahead, then i recomend buying new, as used ones are often sold for a reason- they are dodgy I had to spend about £50 on mine before it would run properly. If you still want to buy second had ask a licenced go-ped mechanic to check it over first. Now there is the hard bit... which model to choose. well if its convenience you want the i highly recomend the liquamatic as it can be stationary with the engine still running which is a great adventege to start off with because if you loose your balance while learnig you can just hop off while releasing the throttle. The sport is completely usless to a beginner as once its started it won't stop unless the engine is killed, as it has no clutch so it is always moving at a swift pace of 2 mph. the advantage of the sport version is that it has much better acceleration. But if you want to lear with the conveniences of the clutch equiped liqumatic and then move on to the sport model once your confident there is no need to worry as any good-cheap go-ped mechanic will remove the clutch for about £10 automaticly turning it i
nto a sport, and the clutch can be re-fitted if needed. Another word of warning is that the liqumatic and the sport are purely for use on hard flat surfaces like roads and pavements. Even on a finely trimed golf course with hard ground they will not run, the engines will just bog down. But do not fear as BIG FOOT is here the big foot will allow you to go ped of road on dirt trails and beaches etc... Even though there is a considerable price difference the big foot is the king of all go-peds even on the road it still beats the sport with its comfyer ride and better breaks. The big foot has BIG puffy 10" pnumatic tires which also make it the most versatile of go-peds. It even has a lever to engage and di-engage the drive train with works like a clutch but only better I hope my knowledge has help you in any desicions you were going to make if you would like to talk to me futher about go-peds feel free to contact me through dooyoo
