Advantages: Comfort, style and "WOW" factor

Disadvantages: Not a Fatboy

The new 2001 bike is a revolution not only in transport but style, comfort handling and agility. The new Wide Glide features a newly designed seat and backrest for extra comfort. It has a new, more accurate, anti-fog fuel gauges and an improved turn signal cancellation (for those last minute decisions). The fuse panel is even easier to get to than on the last model and there is even an optional factory Harley-Davidson security system. With a newly designed less effort shifting system that makes that ride much more enjoyable Harley-Davidson have created a BEAST of a machine. The choice of colours is almost endless, from diamond ice pearl, to vivid black, the one you choose really personalises the bike. The handling is as easy and comfortable as it gets and the feel of power underneath you the way the " Twin Cam 88" pumps in the fuel as fast as you can twist that throttle is absolutely astonishing. In retrospect, however, the bike was, is and will never be as good as the "Fatboy" but then it isn't meant to be.
