Harley-Davidson Road King Classic ... Was going to buy a yamaha silverado. Took the wife to see one and decided to compare the ride with an older king (96) sitting at the dealer. We both had always loved the harley styling but remembered the late 70 s and all the quality issues that exsisted. 1 ride and we were hooked, there is no other big twin that handles or out torques the hills like this 1. We ordered an 03 and caulked up 11000 km in 1 summer. Add a screaming eagle breather kit and slash up pipes and its pure heaven. Starts every time and realiablity the japanese wish they had. Harley-Davidson Dyna Wide Glide ... originally placed an order for a heritage softail classic, I finally chaged my mind and took delivery of a black/silver anniversary Wide Glide on April 18th and what a brilliant decision it has turned out to be. Definately a younger mans motorcycle than the stock heritage (I'm not 40 yet!) and despite the popular misconceptions, the light front end, means that it corners very well, only limited by ground clearance. Various pillions with experience of japanese cruisers always comment on how smooth and comfortable she is! Harley-Davidson Sportster 1200 ... had an XL1200S Sportster now for just under 3 months, now that it's well past the 1000m run-in period I can enjoy what it's all about. Taking the step from a 600 sports bike, to a 1200 custom was quite a change. The seating position is a welcome break, with all the strain removed from the wrists at low speed. The seating position is quite comfortable, making you feel that you're 'on' not 'in' the bike. With the foot controls being positioned in the conventional place is great for carving through bends, as opposed to forward controls, which is more suited for cruising or serious mile munching.
