Honda C90! More then a bike! :D

The Honda Cub C90 was made many years ago in 1958 and is still being produced over 50 years later. I believe the reason for this is because it is extremely practical and very cheap to run which I shall talk more about a little later.

I shall begin by writing a bit about this bikes history as well as giving a brief insight in to the Honda Company.

The Honda cub is the biggest selling bike of all time having sold over 60 million motorcycles worldwide which is much more then any of their competitors models. It was recently voted the number one bike ever made on the discovery channel which can be seen on youtube. It came in 3 different models, the C50, the C70 and the C90 making it practical for everyone of all ages. The C90 is capable of speeds over 50mph which is very good for a bike with an engine not much more complicated then a lawn mower.

It gives you approximately 220 miles per gallon which is amazing and much more economical then cars, due to the recent fall in petrol prices my Cub currently costs me just £2.65 to fill complete to the brim and lasts me for about a week, commuting to and from collage.

It has a four stroke engine giving it a more beefier and deeper sounding engine as well as giving your more power when going up hills. The reason this little motorbike is so famous and has sold so many models is due to its amazing reliability. They are designed to be abused and are not suppose to be cared for which makes them so practical for those of you who do not have time to constantly clean and look after you vehicles.

They come in 3 main colours the most popular being blue, red and brown. I currently own a red 2003 model after blowing up my first virtually in-destructable Honda c90 lol. However in the cubs defence it was over 30 years old and had done over 40,000 miles. Me being a teenage boy also tended to rag this bike pushing it to the limit and trying to squeeze an extra couple of mile per hour out of this nippy bike.

As they are described as being bomb proof they are often used for fields bikes because of their superb suspension, reliability and as they are so simple to use. They are also very light, weighing up at just 50KG which result in these bike being one of the easiest to wheelie however I wouldn't recommend this to any novice riders lol.

You may also know this bike by many other names one of which being the Honda Krunch. The reason for this is due to the fact it does not have a clutch so you just have to slam it into gear instead which sometimes makes a crunching sound but is in my opinion all part of the uniqueness and fun of the bike. It is also know as the Chicken Chaser and Honda Step-fru.

Although these are stereotypically used by the older generation they are beginning to be used much more by teenagers as they are easy to use (with just 3 gears), extremely reliable, very cheap to run and in my opinion a very fun bike to ride. I am currently only 17 and have owned 4 bikes, most of which being modern models and in my opinion the cub wins every time.

In conclusion this is an absolute astonishing bike and in my opinion suitable for everyone of all ages.

Summary: Very practical due to being so reliable, cheap and easy to use!
