In 5th it would rev 1000 for every 10mph so cruising at 70 was 7000rpm,magic. I was in the building trade at the time(16 yr old apprentice) and most days it had a full set of ...more

had one of these from may 1970 till late 71 (MVS 856F i think). It was one of the first ones after the CB72, mine had a red/white tank and looked quite impressive at the time. The engine was a little gem and would keep up with my mates bonneville 650 to 60mph. Bit strange writing a review on a bike that is 22 years old but here we go. I bought my bike for £100 as a hobby bike last year (summer 2002) and got it back on the road in under a month. Parts are easy to find on Ebay, not that I have really needed them, and mine does well over 65mpg. In the summer I rode mine down from South Wales to London and back to pick up a 2nd hand Rickman Fairing (courtesy Ebay once more). If you are looking for cheap transport that is reliable and ...  Read the complete review

i did have 2 of these bikes i now have only one they are lovely they go forever look ok a lot smaller than the superdream mine had 48,000 miles on it and an oil leak that had been there for 5 years but i only ever used it to thrash the living s**t out of it. My second i put an add in the paper for some parts or an exhaust because the micron that was on it the baffle had rusted away any way some man rang me up and said he had a whole bike for about £150 i dident want to spend all this money but i went to have a look. The bike was covereed up in the mans shed 100% original condition 11,000 miles on the i couldent get the bike out of there quick enough. charged the ...  Read the complete review
