Advantages: economry, reliable, cheerful looks
Disadvantages: None, None, ...and none
This is my second, with a 12 year gap, and it nice too see the basic design has not changed. My first one, I past my test on, then did 14,000 miles over 3 years, and the only thing that went wrong was one spark plug (I suspect this could be down to a neglectful owner who knew nothing about maintenance bar the oil changes, adjusting the chain, brakes and clutch). Frequent oil changes are a good idea for longevity of service, and when I sold this one the price was only £100 less than I paid for it (a real bargain). This week, due to a failing car, I have picked up a brand new CG. It is everything I remembered and loved about this cheerful little bike. Excellent fuel economy, light to ride, but with a nice solid feel about it. The more modern bikes have electric start and come complete with 2 year AA roadside assistance, warranty and a few design improvements (probably fitted to every bike as I have been out of it for 12 years). This bike will pay for itself over 2 years in the fuel savings alone, and if I ever get another car, I will not get rid of this due to the cheap running costs and reliability.
