The 2000 Fireblade is the absolute dogs dangley bits!!! The time 10am, the date Saturday the 15th July , the Place George Whites Superbikes in Swindon. The mission “take out one Y2K CBR900 Fireblade on a test run and whip to an inch of it’s life and in the process scare yourself silly. I am glade to report mission accomplished!! The fireblade back in the early 90's was a light ,peaky,mentally fastmonster of a bikethat rocked all the big bikes at the time.It took years for the likes of yamaha to respond to the challenge,but respond they did in the shape of the R1,but the fireblade 900rr in the year 2000 is on the attack again,although this still can not quite top the R1 for speed,overall is a far better bike ,as even Yamaha have admitted the R1 is hard work to stop it flipping you on your back. If you want a mentally fast bike but you want to be comfortable that you are going to stay on it when you fly of those lights get the new blade.
