 ... and easy to throw it around!! The 125 does 100mph pretty easily which is great for a first bike, plus the suspension and breaks have been rated 100% in most magazines. Like most 125's, they are quite slim unlike the Honda which is quite wide with sporty attractive faring. This is a great way of knowing how a bigger, bulkier bike feels. The down side to this bike if I have to give one, is the seating position. Like all sports bike, you are leaning very low, which is quite uncomfortable if your travelling far....more

A 125 cc, I know what your thinking, sounds like a hair dryer and has as much speed as a snail having a lesiurely walk on a Sunday afternoon? Well, your wrong! OK, some 125 cc bikes are slow and yes you are embarrassed to ride them into town, but if you want something with a lot of grrrrr and a lot of grooowl then I suggest a Honda NSR 125cc. It might be my first bike, but I'm not biased. The 2 stroke engine has great acceleration and is easy to handle. The Honda is as light as a feather so it's nice and easy to throw it around!! The Honda NSR 125 is an exceptional bike to buy after doing a CBT (Compulsory Basic Training). It is not as dull as the CG125's that are used so widely in the Test centres around the country. It's lively 2-stroke engine gives it that extra zip and acceleration. I have been informed that they can go up to 100mph derestricted and up to 75mph restricted. The advantage of the NSR is that it is a bulky bike and a replica of a Sports bike. It has very fancy panelling and very good handling and is ideal if one wishes to get a feel of what heavier and bigger cc bikes will feel like when taking a full test.
