My Pan runs out only on distance trips only, WSB in europe Northwest 200 i have never had a problem been on Pans since moving down from a 1500 wing s.e. in 1995 The bike is fast and stable at speed will easily carry luggage for 2 people for 2 weeks, fitted with Givi 52ltr top case. last run saw 3896 miles in 12 days through Holland, Germany, Austria, Italy, France and Belgium average 48.7 mpg. I sevice the bike myself every 4000 miles, tyre wise i get 10000 miles rear and 5000 miles front the only niggle i have is with turbulance from side winds i have changed lanes on the Autobahn at 110 mph not recommended !!! you will struggle to find a better all round bike trust me i have tried and failed !!!!

I bought my 1998 pan non abs model in august 2007 with 10k on the clock its a great bike. Very good machine. Heavy at low speed but after things get rolling it handles great. Reliable and comfortable. Easy to maintain and durable. One of the few weak points is the exhaust which tends to rust hard in salty climats. Same thing for the rear arm. But when inspected regular and properly maintained not a real problem. I've owned 8 bikes and ridden more. The Pan is by FAR the best. Went on a 550 mile two day trip to celebrate its arrival and it was brilliant.
