Honda VTR1000 SP-1:
... the open road and you won t stop grinning until you have to put it away again. The handling is superb, the brakes make your eyes fall out and the acceleration as it claws at the horizon, is nothing short of awesome for a bike of it s time. The build quality is typical Honda, but with a sprinkling of HRC quality. Removing panels leaves you staring at HRC embossed engine covers, and there is nothing out of place. Apar... Honda CB1000 ... some reason the CB1000 has never hit it big here in the states, but I own a 1995 model and a 2007 Yamaha R6. I ride the CB1000! It has 37K miles and shows no signs of going south. What is surprising is how much fun it is to ride in town, mine is geared such that it jumps from the red lights like it is shot out of a slingshot. All the comments about not letting it fall over are accurate. And if you are vertically challenged like I am, then just hope you do not find yourself in this position as it will be quite comical to motorists as they ride by. So far, I have made several long distance trips, comfort is quite good along with ability to stay with traffic is ea... Read the full review: 998cc In line 4, "The Big One" by phantom1 |

Honda CBR600F Sport ... is a lovely bike, although I have only recently passed my test, I found that this bike is a perfect first bike. Although it looks like a sports bike, it is actually very comfortable for those long rides in the summer, the the seat and the handle bars being more that of a sports tourer. Also, considering the engine size, I found that the insurance was actually quite low for this bike, even though I had no No Claims Bonus and had only just passed my test. The bike is easy to maintain and has, so far, been a very reliable bike, getting me from a to b, then taking me to c and d. The bike is comfortable for those long rides, but you can open it up and, for me, it has e... Read the full review: Honda - great bikes by Pestilence |

Honda CB250 ... one of these from may 1970 till late 71 (MVS 856F i think). It was one of the first ones after the CB72, mine had a red/white tank and looked quite impressive at the time. The engine was a little gem and would keep up with my mates bonneville 650 to 60mph. I seem to remember trouble with the twin sets of points and i had to fit two sets of rings then have it rebored but i did do over 15,000 miles and was not satisfied till i saw at least 10,000 rpm in every gear, once saw 100mph in 5th on the long down hill by pass between east kibride and hamilton, no helmet, jeans and teashirt and leaning flat over the tank, dead clever. In 5th it would rev 1000 for every 10mph so cru... Read the full review: glory days of a honda cb250 by andy collins |
