Honda CB1000:
... CB1000 is a great all round bike, it will take you touring for 1000 s of miles or go round the twisties, of course it wont beat your Blades and R1 s but its a total different bike. The build is second to none and mine has over 40,000 miles on the clock and still rides like she did new. I cant see me parting with this bike as i don t think anything has come out to beat it yet, of course there s faster and better h... Read the full review: Best Retro Still by Steve |

Honda VFR800 VTEC ... work well. You can really give it some welly when you fancy having some fun, and when you just want to do some long distance touring it ll settle down and let you enjoy the scenery without the need for too much input. There is one cause of controversy with the new VFR, and that s in the VTEC engine. Yes, it s a V4, so it gives you a bit of midrange grunt as well as screaming highs, but Honda have fitted the VTEC system to this one. To explain simply... The engine uses only 2 valves per cylinder at low revs, which offers more grunt, but then when you hit about 7000rpm the VTEC system kicks in and offers 4 valves per cylinder, to give more top end horsepower. Honda CB1000 ... bought my big one as a running resto after way too many sportbike accidents and near misses. I was initially concerned about what other riders would think about my choice as it was so heavily slated by the press on release (?) after 3 years I have finally found a bike to obsess over..the best way to describe it to other more experienced riders would be erm... probably an FJ1200 that handles It does absolutely everything with loads of gorgeous surging torque. It is surprisingly light on the move and benefits from new 4-1 pipe and K&N. rubber is pricey as 18" rims and the niggling thing is there are very few custom parts available like there are for the blan... Honda CBR600F ... i passed my test in March 2008 through the DAS course. I had already purchased the bike a week before my test and was eager to get going. I was out on my CBR600F (2000) within the hour after a quick phone call to the insurance company. Although i was taking it easy i found the bike excellent to ride in town and on the country roads. Now I ve got 4 months experience and i m still loving this bike although i did lose out for 3 weeks due to an exhaust problem. The downpipes were rusty (original mild steel exhaust) and so i then bought a set of stainless steel ones. I thought this would be an easy job for a mechanic removing 8 header bolts and fitting the new one but th... Read the full review: My CBR600F by Hutch |
