Capable and very easy to ride. Good as an upgrade (Kawasaki Ninja ZX-9R)

Advantages: Forgiving and comfortable Disadvantages: Sluggish and old This bike is tremendous. I had an early B1 model, now even though it was one of the heaviest bikes in its class and underpowered as a suprbike it could hold its own with an exhaust and filter upgrade. It'll only pull around 160-170 mph. I wanted it for its speed and to carry 2comfort. It was at ease with 2 people on it once the rear shock was tweaked up and it was still very stable through the corners and under braking. Perhaps the bikes extra weight helped out here. Power delivery was smooth with a bit of a rush to the low red line from 7k onwards. As an old bike,L reg, the brakes really needed stainless hoses to get the feel that i would like from it and the rear was nigh on useless. The feedback from the front end was very stiffled, perhaps with a different front tyre on and more tweaking of the suspension settings would have tightened things up here. As an overall round up of the ZX9R-B1 i have to say it is still a very competant bike that wont disappoint in many areas however if your looking for something to hone your riding skills on i would suggest the GSXR750 or Fireblade. Summary: Worthy contender but better are out of there.

The most fun you can have on 2 wheels.
Honda cb1000 ! rare and finally coming of age !
Great fun, but a bit on the plastic side
A decent sport-tourer that can still hang with the best of them
A great scooter to start with
Ducati Monster - Not as Monstrous as you Would Expect
Not Bad - For a Budget Commuter or Hack
Suzuki Bandit 1250 - Great all round Motorcycle
It's a learners bike but still great in it's own right
